Petrol pump owners announce a countrywide strike on November 25!

All Pakistan Petrol Pump Dealers Association in an announcement made on Sunday called for a countrywide strike on November 25 over the government’s reluctance on hiking dealer margin to 6 percent.

Secretary Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association Noman Ali Butt said that petrol pumps will be closed from November 25, while petrol pumps in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will also be closed.

He said that Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association demanded that dealers increase their profits.

He further said that the government has not accepted our demands until the dealer margin is 6%, there will be no talks with the government.

Noman Ali Butt said that after the assurance of the government, the call for strike on November 5 was withdrawn but the government did not implement the assurance.

It may be recalled that the Petroleum Dealers Association had earlier announced a strike from November 5, but the call for strike was withdrawn after a meeting with Federal Minister Hamada Azhar and Secretary Petroleum.

Dealers on petroleum products called off the strike on government assurances to increase profits.
