TikTok issues statement after two TikTokers were arrested for ‘accidentally shooting man’

TikTok has issued a statement after two TikTokers were arrested in Karachi for accidentally shooting a man.

A day after the arrests were made, TikTok spokesperson stated: “The safety of our community is our top priority and we do not tolerate any dangerous acts, hate speech, or hateful behaviour. TikTok has zero-tolerance for firearms and we do not allow any content that depicts acts of violence. We remain vigilant in our commitment to user safety and remove any content that violates our Community Guidelines. We provide tools for our users’ digital well-being and we will continue to educate our global community on online safety which is an industry-wide challenge.”

Malir Police had arrested two teenagers on Thursday identified as  identified as Saeed Ahmed and Fazil Ali.

According to the Malir City Police, two TikTokers accused shot a man standing at a bus stop to make a TikTok video.

The arrested accused are between 14 and 15 years of age, SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said.
