The Crown Season 5: Here is the first look at Humayun Saeed

“I haven’t played a real-life character on-screen and to play the role of Dr. Hasnat Khan who everyone knows due to Princess Diana was a huge responsibility,” Humayun Saeed said.

Here is the first look at Humayun Saeed in Netflix’s The Crown Season 5!

Prominent Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed will be seen playing the character of Dr. Hasnat Khan, Princess Diana’s Companion, in season 5 of the popular Netflix series, as the story progresses.

British-Pakistani doctor Hasnat Khan was a heart surgeon at London’s Royal Brompton Hospital, where he first met Princess Diana in 1995.

The screen grab from the latest season’s episode hints at the hospital scene where they both have met for the first time.

As depicted in “The Crown” Dr, Hasnat Khan is looking at Diana while standing in the hospital’s corridor when she was visiting a friend whose husband was undergoing surgery with Dr. Khan.

The details about their relations became known from Dr. Hasnat Khan’s 2004 statement to the Metropolitan Police.

The statement was submitted in 2008 to an inquest into Princess Diana’s death.

Dr. Hasnat Khan stated that he had been in a relationship with Diana from 1995-1997 and that she broke up with him after she met Dodi Fayed on a holiday with Mohamed Al Fayed and his family.

Ever since the news broke out that Humayun Saeed will be starring in The Crown, fans were eager to have a look at his character. So the wait is finally over.

While talking to Variety about his character, Humayun Saeed said, “Dr. Hasnat Khan and Princess Diana were total opposites. He was a very ordinary man in every way and I feel this is what attracted Princess Diana to him. His nature and simplicity made him special to Princess Diana.”

“I haven’t played a real-life character on-screen and to play the role of Dr. Hasnat Khan who everyone knows due to Princess Diana was a huge responsibility,” Humayun added.

“I am confident audiences will love the simplicity of the relationship and how it is portrayed on-screen,” the Jawani Phir Nahi Ani star said.
