The Legend Of Maula Jatt in legal trouble before its release?

It seems things will not be easy for Pakistan’s most awaited and expensive film; The Legend Of Maula Jatt. Recently, the film landed in trouble when makers of “Maula Jatt” launched a complaint against the makers of The Legend of Maula Jatt, claiming the film had violated copy rights of the original filmmaker, using the titled without their permission.

However, producer Ammara Hikmat denied all such claims made by Sarwar Bhatti and lodged a complain with the Federal Investigation Agency. In turn the FIA has initiated an action against the Bahoo Corporation.

In a press statement released on Sunday, Producer Ammara Hikmat rejected allegations of copyrights violation saying, “The film The Legend of Maula Jatt has all the necessary approvals from the concerned government departments which are required for their trailer’s release. Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari are legally well within their rights to release the movie at the time of their choice. Therefore, FIA has responded to producer Ammara Hikmat’s compliant against Bahoo Corporation for committing online defamation through cyber stalking and incitement by issuing summons to Bahoo Corporation CEO for appearance before FIA.”

The Legend of Maula Jatt stars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and Humaima Malick. The film’s trailer released earlier this week, impressing audience and critics alike. The Legend Of Maula Jatt released on Eid ul Fitr.
