Pakistan reports record 63 COVID-19 fatalities in 24 hours
Pakistan has reported 63 COVID-19 fatalities in the last 24 hours the highest single-day death toll so far.
With Friday’s reported deaths nationwide toll has risen to 1,346.
Sindh has reported the highest single-day death toll for any province so far after 31 fatalities were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 804 new coronavirus cases were reported, taking the total to 26,113.
Punjab also reported its highest single-day death tolls at 29.
The previous record for the most number of deaths in a day was reported on May 21 when 57 fatalities confirmed and before that on May 7 when 48 fatalities were recorded.

Meanwhile, Balochistan reported 471 new coronavirus cases and five more deaths during the past 48 hours, according to data from the provincial health department.
With the new cases, Balochistan’s tally has crossed 4,000 while the total death toll is 46.
