Oscars 2020 to Shatter Another Tradition

After changing the name of one of the major categories, Oscars 2020 is going to break quite a few traditions this time around. The Academy Awards are already taking place ahead of its schedule on February 9.

In a recent development, The Academy has changed the rule of voting rights for its members. This year, all members of the executive committee are eligible to cast their votes for the top five films in Best International Feature Film Category.

This year a total of 93 contenders are fighting for the top stop in one of the most important Oscars categories. Out of these 7 will be shortlisted by the Academy whereas 3 will be of the executive committee’s choice.

Earlier, the Academy had changed the names of this category from Best Foreign Language Film to Best International Feature Film Category. Additionally, The Academy’s brand new app is also the latest offering of the most sought after award show globally.
