The body was recovered from the flat after neighbours of the locality informed the police on Friday over a foul smell.

Upon receiving the information, police broke the door of the flat to enter and found the body.

The police officials said that the dead body was a few days old,

Police added that it looked like a natural death, but a post-mortem examination of the body would reveal the actual cause of death.

The deceased Chinese national has been identified as 55-year-old Chen Shiping, an online marketing professional, according to initial reports.

He had been living in the said flat since 2020. However, the visa on his passport carried Jan 12, 2023, as the date of issue. The Chinese national was granted a 10-year visa to Pakistan.
