Federal govt announces public holiday on Nov 9 marking Iqbal Day.

This year would mark Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal’s 146th birth anniversary.

The cabinet division has issued a notification declaring November 9 (Thursday) as a public holiday across the country.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all educational institutions, government offices, and private offices across the country will be closed on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The government in 2022 reinstated the public holiday for November 9 after a lapse of several years.
