Khadija Shah put under house arrest for 30 days under MPO shortly after her bail approval
The Lahore High Court (LHC) granted Ms Shah bail and the DC issued the order ignoring the highest court of the province

Khadija Shah was put under house arrest for 30 days under MPO shortly after bail approval on Friday.
As reported, the Lahore deputy commissioner ordered the detention of PTI activist and fashion designer Khadija Shah for a period of another 30 days under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance, citing the need to maintain “law and order in the provincial capital.”
The notification said, “It is feared that Khadija Shah may create a law and order situation as she had been involved in May 9 violence.”
“She is detained after the evidence against Khadija Shah was examined,” the notification added.
DC Rafia Haider issued the order after an anti-terrorism court (ATC) granted post-arrest bail to Shah yesterday in the fourth and, thus far, final case linked to the May 9 riots filed against her.
As reported, the decision to detain Shah was taken on Nov 15.
According to the news source, Ms Shah has decided to challenge the DC’s order in the LHC.
