Mohsin Naqvi to run for Senate seat from Punjab
A news source earlier claimed that Mohsin Naqvi was being considered for the appointment as adviser to the prime minister on interior affairs
Mohsin Naqvi, former caretaker chief minister of Punjab, is reported to have confirmed his plan to run for a Senate seat in Punjab.
Naqvi, who holds the chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), while Speaking to The News on Saturday, said that though he would be the Senate’s “candidate of all”, he hasn’t decided on his future political identity.
The former Punjab caretaker chief minister also said that no decision has been made on his role in the Ministry of Interior, and discussions are underway despite his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President-elect Asif Ali Zardari.
