Pervez Khattak kicked out of PTI

Khattak was issued the show cause notice for an explanation for allegedly inciting the members to leave PTI

Pervez Khattak has been officially kicked out of PTI on Wednesday.

Pakistani Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) terminated the party membership of the ex-provincial president and ex-chief minister of KP, Pervez Khattak.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) ex-president Pervez Khattak was issued a show cause notice for trying to incite members to leave the party and his failure to respond to a “show cause notice” led to his expulsion from the party.

Khattak was informed about the termination of his membership in a letter sent to him by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan.

The former defence minister was told that he was served with a “show cause notice” on June 21, and he had failed to provide a “satisfactory reply within the given stipulated time regarding contacting party members and inciting them to leave the party”.

“Now, therefore, you are served with this notice of termination from your basic membership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Your membership from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been terminated with immediate effect,” the letter stated.

Khattak, who was the president of PTI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, resigned from the party position on June 2.
