After President Zardari, Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi also announces to forego his salary
The decisions were taken amid the country's ongoing economic challenges.
After President Asif Ali Zardari, the newly appointed Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi also announced to forego his salary.
The President Secretariat Press Wing on Tuesday announced the decision in a statement, that President Zardari wants to encourage prudent financial management in the country. And hence he will not take the salary.
“The President considered it essential not to burden the national exchequer and preferred to forgo his salary,” the statement posted on the X platform read.

Newly appointed Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi also announced to forego his salary.
“Alhamdulillah, honored to serve the nation as Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control. Decided to forego my salary during this tenure. In these challenging times, committed to supporting and serving our nation in every possible way, ” Mohsin Naqvi said.
