Azlan Shah Cup: Pakistan register 2nd consecutive win by beating South Korea 4-0

In the first match, Pakistan defeated the hosts Malaysia 5-4

Pakistan registered its second consecutive win at the Azlan Shah Hockey Cup by beating South Korea 4-0 in Ipoh, Malaysia.

The match was one-sided, as Pakistan played an aggressive game and kept the opponent under pressure throughout the game.

Hannan Shahid secured the first goal three minutes into the game with a powerful field goal, setting the tone for the encounter.

As Pakistan continued to build momentum, Arshad Liaqat added a second goal to the scoreboard, by netting another field goal in the 20th minute of the match.

Korean defence struggled to keep pace after Ghazanfar Ali extended Pakistan’s lead with a third field goal in the 27th minute.

Pakistan maintained the 3-0 lead at the end of the third quarter.

In the final quarter, Pakistan sealed their victory as Sufyan Khan converted a penalty corner into a goal in the 50th minute, sending the match out of Korea’s reach.

Pakistan’s team will now compete against Japan on May 7 in the third match.

In its first match of the tournament, Pakistan defeated Malaysia with a last-minute winner by Abu Mahmood on Saturday.

The match was a nine-goal thriller that saw some of the best goals.

Pakistan team managed to emerge triumphant 5-4 after a long 60 minutes.
