Two separate blasts target political offices in Balochistan leaving at least 25 killed, scores injured

Two separate blasts targeted political offices in Balochistan on Wednesday, a day before the 2024 general elections.
The first attack was carried out outside an independent candidate’s office in Balochistan’s Pishin leaving at least 15 people killed while over 30 were injured.
The blast occurred outside the political office of independent candidate Asfand Yar Khan Kakar in the Khanozai area of Pashin.
As reported, the independent candidate was not present inside his office when the explosion occurred in PP-47 in Pishin.
The second attack took place outside the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) office in the Qilla Saifullah district.
According to Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bazai, at least 12 people have been killed and several injured in a blast outside the election office of the JUI-F in Qila Saifullah in Balochistan.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) took notice of the blasts and summoned a report from Balochistan’s chief secretary and Inspector General of Police (IGP).
According to the spokesperson for the ECP, directives have been issued to take action against those involved in such incidents.
