PCB announces squad for the Afghanistan series and Asia Cup

Faheem Ashraf returns, Shan Masood, Ihsanullah dropped

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the 17-member ODI squad for the Afghanistan series and the upcoming Asia Cup. 

All-rounder Faheem Ashraf has returned to the squad named for the Asia Cup and Afghanistan series while Shan Masood and Ihsanullah have been dropped.

While Saud Shakeel who has been included in the Afghanistan series will miss out on the Asia Cup squad.

The PCB said that Shan has been dropped due to his low scores, while Ihsanullah has been dropped as he is undergoing a rehabilitation programme following an injury in his bowling elbow.

Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Rizwan (wk), Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique, Faheem Ashraf, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam Ul Haq, M Haris (wk), M Wasim Jr, Saud Shakeel, Naseem Shah, Agha Salman, Shaheen Afridi, Tayyab Tahir, Usama Mir.
