Magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit northern areas of Pakistan

No damage reported so far

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit northern Pakistan on Tuesday evening.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Swabi, Azad Kashmir and other areas!

Earthquake tremors were felt in Lodhran, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Skardu, Kohat, Toba Tek Singh, Parachinar, and Khanewal.

This is a developing story, and no immediate reports of losses have arrived yet.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, while its depth was 180 kilometres.

Citizens from the affected areas have taken to social media to share their concerns.
