In recognition of Umer Sharif’s services, Karachi’s road and underpass are to be named after him.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab on Saturday announced that the Shaheed-e-Millat underpass and Hyder Ali roads will be named “Umer Sharif Underpass”.
In recognition of the services rendered by late #UmerSharif, KMC will name its underpass at the junction of Shaheed e Millat & Hyder Ali Roads as “Umer Sharif Underpass”.

Umer Sharif passed away on Oct. 2, aged 66 in Germany’s hospital.
His last remains are expected to arrive in Pakistan on Monday and will be buried at Abdullah Shah Ghazi Graveyard in Karachi.
According to the wishes of the late Umer Sharif, arrangements are being made by the Sindh government for his burial in Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi Cemetery.
As being reported, Mufti Taqi Usmani will offer namaz e janaza prayers of Umer Sharif
