CM Punjab sending McDonald’s meal to a school irks netizens
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz offered McDonald’s meals to schoolchildren during her recent visit to a school in Murree has irked the netizens.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz earlier this week visited a school in Murree to interact with its students and teachers.
The provincial government later handed out McDonald’s meal bags to students and teachers as a goodwill gesture.
The pictures and videos were shared by PML-N’s official social media account via X (formerly Twitter).
However, the post was later deleted from the official account after it received backlash.
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz faced backlash on social media for offering McDonald’s burgers and fries to school children amid rising food inflation and calls for a boycott of the American chain for its alleged support to Israel.
