5 customs personnel among six gunned down in a terror attack in DI Khan

The unidentified assailants targeted the Customs officials on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

Five Pakistan Customs personnel were among six killed when unidentified men opened fire at their vehicle in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan on Thursday.

According to the police a minor girl, a passerby, also fell victim to the shooting.

A driver, a citizen and four Customs personnel were killed in the firing incident, the police added.

The customs officials were on duty when they were attacked in the city’s Daraban area, according to the police.

The culprits managed to flee after the shooting.

The bodies of the victims were shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHQ) by rescue ambulances.

Following the incident, police and law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and gathered forensic evidence.
