Aun Chaudhry’s brief meeting with Nawaz Sharif has drawn criticism from his party.
The Istihkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Aun Chaudhry met the former prime minister at Lahore airport briefly on Saturday.
In the latest development, IPP has decided to issue a show-cause notice to their Additional Secretary General Aun Chaudhry over his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.
While distancing itself from the meeting that took place at the Lahore airport, the party said that “IPP has nothing to do with Chaudhry’s meeting with Nawaz Sharif.”
As reported, IPP has also sought a written response from Chaudhry if he met the PML-N elder “in a personal capacity”.
