Cher arrives in Islamabad to take Kaavan to Cambodia
US celebrity singer Cher is in Islamabad, as she will be accompanying Kaavan the lonely elephant of Islamabad to Cambodia.
Kaavan is set to fly to Cambodia on November 29 on a Russian cargo plane, specially chartered for his transportation.
On Friday the celebrity singer called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
Appreciating her efforts in retiring Kaavan to an elephant sanctuary, the Prime Minister thanked Cher for her campaign and role in this regard.

As being reported, the Prime Minister also invited the singer to participate and contribute towards the government’s initiative for the expansion of protected areas, to which she graciously agreed.
She said that both the “Protected Areas Initiative” and the “10 Billion Tree Tsunami” initiative of the government are highly commendable and praiseworthy as nature-based tools for climate mitigation.
According to PM Office, Cher also offered her support for furthering the green initiatives through her organization “Free the Wild” and thanked the Prime Minister.
