Gold prices hit a record new all-time high in Pakistan on Wednesday.
As reported, a $20 per ounce jump in world gold rates on Tuesday pushed the 10-gram and one-tola gold prices in the local market to new all-time highs of Rs214,077 and Rs249,700, respectively.
According to the All Sindh Saraf and Jewellers Association (ASSJA), per tola price of the yellow metal surged by Rs2200 to reach Rs251,900 while the price of 10-gram went up by Rs1,887 to close at Rs215,964.
As per rates issued by the All Sindh Saraf and Jewellers Association, the international gold price swelled to $2,391 per ounce, an all-time high amid escalating tension after the Iranian attack on Israel.
In the international market, spot silver rose 1.2% to $28.42 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3% at $954.55 and palladium was up 0.6% at $1,019.68.
