Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir sworn in as Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh

Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir took the oath as the Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister on Thursday.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered the oath to the caretaker chief minister at a ceremony held at the Governor House in Karachi.

Outgoing CM Murad Ali Shah and his cabinet members were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.

Leaders from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), judges, and bureaucrats were also in attendance at the ceremony.

As reported, the swearing-in ceremony was originally scheduled for August 16 (Wednesday) but was delayed by one day due to the busy schedule of Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori.

Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony, the now-former chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah was given a guard of honour as he was leaving the provincial chief executive’s residence.
