Karachi recorded the coldest night of the season with the mercury dropping to 12°C on Wednesday.
Though the winter arrived late in the port city, but the weather may become colder in the next three to four days with a minimum temperature of 10°C.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in the port city for the next 24 hours.
The humidity was reported at 60% in Karachi while the speed of winds blowing from the northeast is 3 kilometres per hour.
The mercury is expected to drop as low as 10 to 12°C in the coming days while the maximum temperature is likely to rise between 25 to 27°C, as per the MET prediction.
Last year on January 14, Karachi recorded the coldest day when the temperature dropped to 6°C.
