Massive Explosion shakes Beirut Port, casualties feared

A large explosion shook Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Tuesday hurting a number of people and causing widespread damage.
As being reported by international media, the source of the explosion was a major fire at a warehouse for firecrackers near the port in Beirut.
Medical sources told Reuters that at least 10 people been killed by the explosion, which appeared to follow a fire – the cause of which is unknown – at the port.

The video showed a large mushroom cloud and extensive damage in the city in the wake of the blast as firefighting teams rushed to the scene to try to put out the fire.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, a fire broke out at a fireworks warehouse, suggesting this may have triggered the explosion.
