Qawwal Amjad Sabri’s murder suspect is reported to have been arrested in Karachi!

Amjad Sabri was killed on June 22, 2016, after unidentified gunmen opened fire at him near his residence in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police on Tuesday arrested the key suspect involved in Amjad Sabri’s murder in Karachi after seven years.

The main suspect was apprehended from Karachi’s Patel Para area by the CTD police following a tip-off, the law enforcement authorities said.

The main suspect is alleged to belong to a banned terrorist outfit and had Sabri killed by two gunmen, Asim and Ishaq.

According to CTD personnel, the arrested alleged terrorist also confessed to shooting dead four Rangers personnel and two Pakistan Army soldiers near the Parking Plaza in Saddar.

The accused also admitted his involvement in various other incidents during the investigation, as reported.

The CTD also recovered hand grenades, pistols, and other explosive devices from the suspect, who had been arrested in different cases earlier.

According to the authorities, the alleged terrorist also revealed about running his network from the jail.
