Security forces gunned down a terrorist in DI Khan in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on Wednesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said, “A terrorist was killed and another injured by the firing of security forces, who conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday.”
“During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, resultantly one terrorist was sent to hell while one got injured,” ISPR said.
The military’s media wing stated that some weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militant, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of civilians.
“Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. And the locals of the area appreciated the operation,” it added.
