TIME replaces its logo on the cover for the first time in its 100-Year History

The TIME Magazine has replaced its Logo on the cover for the first time in its nearly a 100-Year History.

Instead of spelling out TIME, the magazine has replaced its title with the word ‘ VOTE’, though the latest issue still has the traditional red outline.

The image on the cover is an illustration by artist Shepard Fairey, featuring a woman wearing a pandemic-appropriate facial covering that representsa ballot box and has the word “Vote!” written over it.

Edward Felsenthal, the Editor-in-Chief and CEO of TIME, has clarified the reason in the editorial.

“Few events will shape the world to come more than the result of the upcoming US presidential election,” the editorial declares.

“To mark this historic moment, arguably as consequential a decision as any of us has ever made at the ballot box, we have for the first time in our nearly 100-year history replaced our logo on the cover of our US edition with the imperative for all of us to exercise the right to vote”, it further added.
