Australia vs India ICC World Cup 2023 has been locked for Sunday, Nov 19, slated to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Australia booked its spot in the final after beating South Africa by three wickets in the second World Cup semifinal in Kolkata.

While a day earlier India reached the final after beating New Zealand in a one-sided spectacular first semifinal. India sailed through the group stages smoothly as the Rohit Sharma-led team finished on top with 18 points.

Temba Bavuma-led Team South Africa decided to bat first in the clash with Pat Cummins-led Team Australia at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Thursday.

David Miller scored a classic century amid a South Africa collapse, but the team’s total of 212, ultimately proved too little to defend.

Australia managed to bowl out South Africa for a below-par 212 runs.

Australia’s batting order struggled in chasing an average target but eventually reached the final required score with 16 balls to spare with Steve Smith (30) and Jos Inglis (28) providing useful innings.

Australia 215 for 7 (Head 62, Shamsi 2-42, Coetzee 2-47)

South Africa 212 (Miller 101, Klaasen 47, Starc 3-34, Hazlewood 2-12)

Australia has beaten South Africa twice in the semi-final stage of the tournament in 1999 and 2007.
