Naila Kiani becomes first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Manaslu

Naila Kiani became the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Manaslu on Thursday.

She achieved the feat on Thursday morning after starting the final push to summit the world’s eighth tallest peak in Nepal from camp 2.

Naila scaled the peak Thursday followed by Shehroze Kashif who reclimbed the Manaslu peak in Nepal to officially become the world’s youngest climber to conquer 12 peaks above 8,000 meters.

Naila Kiani is also the first female mountaineer of Pakistan to summit the nine mountains which are over 8,000 meters high.

She has previously successfully climbed Mount Everest, K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum 2, Annapurna, Lhotse, and Broad Peak.

Naila was the first woman from Pakistan to summit Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum 2, Lhotse, and Broad Peak.

Hailing from Gujjar Khan, Kiani plans to climb two peaks in China – Chuayo and Shishapangma – during the current season as she aims to summit all 14 mountains which are over 8,000 meters in height.
