Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has been dissolved!
President PHF Khalid Sajjad Khokhar announced the dissolution of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and said that all officials including the secretary of the PHF have been removed.
Khalid Sajjad Khokhar said that all members of PHF will have to take a vote of confidence in the conference meeting on August 31.
This decision was taken in the meeting of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) on August 16.
In yet another massive jolt to an already beleaguered Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), it was reported earlier that the state-owned institution, the PHF was suspended with immediate effect on the orders of outgoing Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
A notification of suspension was issued on the instructions of the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the notification, scrutiny of clubs across the country should be conducted under the supervision of the sports board.
The notification added that the PHF election process under the supervision of the PSB should be completed in a transparent manner as soon as possible.
All activities, except the camp and team management of the Asian Games, have been suspended while the selection committee will continue to function, the notification stated.
