PSL9: Karachi Kings players suffering from food poisoning

In a major blow, 13 KK players are reported to be sick

Pakistan Super League franchise Karachi Kings’ players reportedly suffered from food poisoning.

According to the news source, at least 13 players of Karachi Kings suffered from food poisoning after eating dinner at a local hotel and suffered from upset stomachs.

One player was taken to the hospital after his condition worsened.

Daniel Sams and James Vince also did not play in Karachi’s last match due to the same reason.

Tabriz Shamsi is also not well, and Mir Hamza and Arafat Minhas also have fever.

Many of the sick players were given IV drip at the hotel.

“The players didn’t get ill after ordering food from outside the hotel since that was not allowed,” the source revealed.

However, Karachi Kings’s team management is hopeful that the players will be able to field a team for today’s match against Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Stadium Karachi.

As the KK’s sources say they are in touch with the PCB and are trying to make some players available for the match.

According to the sources, it has been decided to hold the match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators as per the schedule.

On the other hand, the PSL administration has allowed a reduction in the limit of foreign players due to illness.

Karachi Kings have been allowed to field at least two foreigners in the final XI.

It should be noted that Islamabad United bagged their second victory of PSL 9 after defeating Karachi Kings by seven wickets at National Bank Stadium Karachi.
