Sindh Announces Public Holiday on Kashmir Solidarity Day 5 Feb
The Sindh government on Monday has announced a public holiday throughout the province to be observed on February 5 on account of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
An official notification in this regard has been issued by the provincial govt.
The federal government has already announced a public holiday to “signify political and moral support in their struggle for self-determination and to honour” Kashmiri martyrs.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Interior stated that 5th February 2021 shall be a public holiday for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day.
A one-minute silence will be observed nationwide at 10:00 am on February 5 in solidarity with the Kashmiris.
Each year, the day is marked in solidarity with Kashmir to supports the just struggle of its people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions.
Rallies, public meetings, and seminars are held across the country, including Azad Kashmir, to draw the international community’s attention towards grave human rights violations and atrocities of Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris.
