Sadiq Khan, 53, emerges triumphant in West Central constituency, securing 106,861 votes
Sadiq Khan won the historic third term as London mayor on Saturday.
Labour Party’s Sadiq Khan has secured a third term as Mayor of London beating Conservative candidate Susan Hall.
As reported, Sadiq Khan secured just over 1,088,000 votes to be re-elected London Mayor, a majority of some 275,000 over Conservative rival Susan Hall, who secured just under 813,000 votes.
UK’s sitting prime minister Rishi Sunak suffered a terrible first day of council election results. The prime minister is now nervously awaiting the results from the capital and the West Midlands mayoral contests.
According to the British media reports, of the 107 councils that held elections on Thursday, 102 had declared their full results on Friday night.
The results revealed the Conservatives losing more than 400 councillors, as the party lost control of 10 councils.
