KSA bars entry of children under 12 in Masjid-al-Haram!
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a new set of guidelines according to which children under the age of 12 do not meet the criteria to be granted Umrah and prayer permits.
“Children belonging to the said age bracket will not be allowed to use Tawakkalna, the official COVID-19 application in the Kingdom to prevent the spread of the virus,” the ministry added.
No one can enter the Masjid al-Haram without seeking prior permission from the Saudi government, the ministry clarified.
Saudi Arabia opened the Khana-e-Kaaba (Grand Mosque) in Makkah and Masjid-e-Nabvi PBUH in Madinah with full capacity as the Kingdom announced ease in COVID restrictions on Oct 15.
The kingdom ended the social distancing protocols at the Grand Mosque after which worshippers prayed shoulder-to-shoulder for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began.
