Veteran Actor Syed Asad Bukhari Passed Away at 90
Veteran film actor Asad Bukhari was late to rest in Lahore on Tuesday. He was 90.
According to family sources, the versatile actor passed away and his funeral prayer took place on Tuesday evening at his Gulberg residence.
He had been playing the notorious villain of Lollywood with more than 400 films to his credit. What made him stand tall withing the Pakistani film industry was his commanding voice with a magnificent dialogue delivery.
Asad Bukhari whose actual name was Syed Ajazul Hassan Bukhari was a versatile actor and won admiration for his roles as a villain, including that of a hero as well.
His most famous films include “Aasu Bala”, “Khan Zaada” and “Akela”.
He started his film career from producer and director Shabbab Kairanvi’s film Suriya.
His last silver screen appearance was in Zahoor Gilaini’s film Pagri Sambhal Jatta, which was screened in 2004.
He was born in the town of Gakkhar near Gujranwala in 1924 and is survived by two wives, six sons, and two daughters.
