Tahir Chaudhary: A chef too young to die

It was a day ago, when the sad news of famous Pakistani Chef Tahir Chaudhary spread like a wild fire. Many thought that it was  just a fake news being circulated on social media. But, no sooner than later the news was confirmed to be true.

It was unbelievable to accept the tragic news of his sudden demise. It left his fans and followers sad and praying for the departed soul. How a man who was so good at heart passed away that silently. He was a cheerful fellow who kept the audience of cooking show engaged for several of years.
Though he is no more but, the legacy he has left behind will surely continue. Going through the recipes he shared himself and by other means on social media has a following in thousands. A man who cooked great food by putting his heart on the table, died of cardiac arrest. Still unbelievable.

It’s a fact that we treasure the ones who leave us and their importance is felt later on. The same thing will be realized for the time being by anyone who follow his recipes. By chance today I searched for chef Tahir Chaudhary’s recipes. And believe me what, the recipes are so simple that even a beginner can follow those just after reading them.

This recipe of almond drink was shared on his official Facebook page. One can see it has few very simple and affordable ingredients. This amazingly simple recipe was found, shared on another website with his name, and guess what. This recipe was viewed by more than 11,000 people and a great many would have tried this drink’s recipe as well.

Another hit recipe by Chef Tahir, had more than 3 thousand likes. And it is a simple dish “Tandoori Vegetable”.

Tandoori Vegetables:

Ingredients: Red chili powder1tsp, Tara chat masala1tsp, Tara garam masala 2tsp, Turmeric powder half tsp, Carom seeds ¼ tsp, Cottage cheese 200 grams, Capsicum 2, Medium sized onion2, Medium tomatoes2, Lemon juice2tbsp, Salt1tsp, Curd1tsp, Garlic 1tbsp, Ginger1tbsp, Oil1tbsp, Orange food color1pinch, Oil as required
Method: 1. Mix lemon juice ,salt, curd, garlic ,ginger ,oil ,orange food color ,red chili powder ,tara chart masala, tara garam masala ,turmeric and carom seeds in bowl.
2. Place the cubes 2 capsicum, 2onion, 2tomatoes and 200 cottage cheese on skewers.
3. Now marinate the skewers in tandoori masala for 30 minutes.
4. Mix the extra tandoori masala in little water to make sauce.
5. Then Grill the skewers 6. Dish out grilled skewers and pour the sauce over it.

Could you believe it, how simple and easy the recipe really is. These are the only examples being quoted here in this blog. But, that was the specialty of this Pakistani chef. Making special stuff with simple things.
He was associated with a show on Masala TV “Cooking on a Budget”, which aired on every weekend.

Where Chef Tahir Chaudhary used to merge his infatuation for food and television. Chef Tahir used to display all of his culinary skills for cooking on a budget. Preparing tasty recipes with exclusive instant ideas that all ended within economical resources. Where he displayed all of his culinary skills for cooking on a budget. In earlier days, he also presented La Cucina again on Masala TV and also came out as a guest on different cooking and health shows.

Another hit recipe by Chef Tahir, “Turkish Kababs”. Yet another delightful, tasty and simple recipe which can be made only in thirty minutes.

Ingredients: Oregano 1tsp, Black pepper 1tsp, Turmeric half tsp, Tara garam masala 1tsp, Red chili powder half tsp, Chicken mince 500 grams, Medium size onion 2, Garlic 2tsp, Ghee or oil half cup, Lemon juice 2tbsp, Salt 1tsp, Parsley ¼ cup

Method: Mix a500 grams of minced chicken, 2 medium size onion and 2tsp garlic in food processor. Then add 1tsp salt, 2tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup parsley, 1tsp oregano, 1tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp turmeric and ½ tsp red chili powder.  Make the shape of kababs with help of pencil and allow frying. Delicious Turkish kababs are ready to serve.

Though many of his recipes are available on various web sites on the internet which could be easily searched and reached. But this great man with all his cooking specialties will surely be missed.
