Fashion designer Nickie Nazir, co-founder of Nickie Nina, passes away, leaving the fashion world in mourning.

Fashion designer Aliya Nazir aka Nickie passed away at the age of 47 on Sunday and the reason behind her death remained unknown.

Her sudden demise has left the fashion fraternity in shock.

Aliya aka Nickie was known for her unique couture designs. She also ventured into a known brand that got international recognition.

A close friend of Aliya, Raheal Rao, Publisher and Editor of Diva Magazine broke the news of her death on social media which prompted condolences from celebrities, and industry peers.

“I woke up this morning to the heartbreaking news of the passing of my dear old friend, #NickieNazir, from @nickieninaofficial. Nickie was not only warm and gracious but also an extraordinary friend to have. The memories we shared together are invaluable, and the void left by their absence will be deeply felt. Nickie, your presence will be dearly missed, and the impact you made on our lives will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear friend,” she wrote.

Following Raheal Rao’s post, several celebrities posted their condolences, including Sajal Aly, Hadiqa Kiani, Sami Khan, Mushk Kaleem, Areeba Habib and Ushna Shah and other.

Frieha Altaf also mourned the loss of her late friend by sharing some past photos with Nazir on vacation, with a note saying:

“The heart breaks.
The heart ❤️ aches.

Dear Nickie. May you Rest in Peace Sharing some wonderful memories of our trip to Chitral, Mastuj, and Shandur. Remembering your fear of heights as you braved the roads up to the Hindukush.

Sending love ❤️ to your family, this is too tragic.”
