All the past PSL anthems have been as famous and as successful as the PSL itself. For the past three years, it has been Ali Zafar who has lent his vocals to these anthems, but this year, breaking tradition of sorts, it was Fawad Khan who sang Khel Deewano Ka for PSL along with rapper Young Desi.

Following the song, Fawad Khan became the subject of so many memes on social media. The memes also hinted at missing Ali Zafar and his enthusiastic songs for PSL.

Addressing the matter, Ali Zafar, on the Geo News programme, Score, recently shared the reason why he didn’t sing the PSL anthem this year.

“”Due to my busy schedule, I could not manage to sing the theme song and had informed the organisers about it in advance,” shared Ali Zafar.

“PSL is a brand now and I am glad that I had a role to play in its expansion,” added Ali further, stating how he thought it was time new faces emerged in the field.

The fourth edition of PSL opens on February 14th this year where world famous Pitbull will be seen performing alongside Fawad Khan, Young Desi, Aima Baig, Shuja Haider and others.
