American TV star Kim Kardashian is hoping to become a lawyer. The reality show artist revealed on Wednesday that she has been seeking four-year apprenticeship with a law firm from San Francisco since last year and is likely to appear in California bar exams by 2022.
Kim, during an interview to vogue magazine revealed the idea what made her think to be a lawyer. The actress was inspired to study law after successfully petitioning US president Donald Trump to pardon a woman involved in cocaine trafficking.
Kim played a key role in the release of Alice Marie Johnson, the 63-year old woman served 21 year of life sentence for a non-violent drug charge.
Since then, the actress has been working with lawyers and activists on national bipartisan advocacy group on criminal justice reform.
“I had to think long and hard about this,” she said.
The went on to say “It’s never one person who gets things done, it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.”
Reports revealed that Kim never graduated from the college she attended; rather she was dropped out from her college before she completed her course. Admission in law school in USA requires a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
California is one of four states in USA that allows would-be attorneys to intern in a law firm for four year before appearing in a bar exam.
