Ranbir Kapoor Will be the New Don, Replaces Shahrukh Khan 

After the last flop, Zero, at the box office it is presumed that King Khan Shahrukh has decided to take a break from cinema. Amid the unconfirmed rumor, a new speculation has started to make rounds in news regarding Shahrukh being replaced by Ranbir Kapoor for third installment of Don.

Based on the 70s superhit Don, that featured Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar revamped the movie for the first time in 2006 with Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. A second installment featuring the same cast followed in 2011 but did not manage to create waves as strong as the first time.

For quite some time it was rumored that Farhan was onto the third installment of the classic movie, and now it surfaced that Ranbir Kapoor will be the new Don. The actor who is currently shooting his film Bharmashtra featuring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan is said to be in talks with Farhan who will be writing, directing and producing the film.

Albeit that the news is unconfirmed at the moment, fans are largely thrilled to see Ranbir in Don’s avatar. The actor after showing versatility in Barfi, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Sanju is surely going to add a new life to the 70s version of Don.
