The BLACKPINK star's dance scene seems to have nabbed more views than the actual show.

Blackpink’s Jennie made her acting debut with the HBO drama “The Idol,”which has been unfortunately mired in controversy.

And ‘The Idol’ viewers mostly K-pop star’s fans are with the opinion that Blackpink’s Jennie is the highlight of a messy show!

According to Variety, the first episode garnered in 913,000 views. Meanwhile, a clip of BLACKPINK star Jennie dancing on the show has garnered 2.6 million views and counting.

The K-pop idol plays the role of Dyanne, a backup dancer and friend of a struggling artist named Jocelyn, played by Lily-Rose Depp.

The first episode of the series, introduces Jennie’s character, while star’s dance scene seems to have nabbed more views than the actual show.

Jennie needs more lines as she is acting in the show, or else it would be just a music video. Fans are expecting to see more of her in the coming episodes.

 

“First episode of the idol was so bad,” one viewer expressed in tweeted. “Only entertaining part was watching Jennie dancing.”

 

Following the relese of the first episode, the biggest silver lining for fans seems to be Jennie, who has been trending on Twitter timelines and TikTok For You pages for her performance as Jocelyn’s backup dancer and friend, Dyanne.

 

A YouTube video of Jennie’s dance number alone has racked up nearly 2 million views.

TikTok fan edits featuring some of her scenes fron the first episode have been viewed millions of times, and many fans are trying to recreate her moves.
