Downey Jr. and Jude Law’s ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ gets a new release date
The further adventures of Detective Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson have been pushed back.
The famous detective pair was initally set to return to screens on Dec. 25, 2020. But now The Sherlock Holmes threequel ‘s release date has been set for Dec. 22, 2021.
The film will once again star Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic British detective and Jude Law as his famous sidekick, Dr. Watson, with the script written by Chris Brancato.

It was last year, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures announced that the upcoming film would hit the big screen this December – nine years after the first sequel ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ was released.
The first film of the franchise ‘Sherlock Holmes’ was released in December 2009, it earned $209 million domestic and $524m worldwide on a $90m budget.
While, the second flick ‘ Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ released in December 2011, earned $186m/$545m on a $120m budget.
2021 is going to be intense at the box office as we get know that the Sherlock Holmes 3 is slotted for Christmas of 2021, the Dream Factory now has a slate which includes (among others) The Batman, The Suicide Squad, DC Super-Pets, and Space Jam 2.
