PEMRA Issues a Notice to Drama Dil Na Umeed To Nahi

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority PEMRA has issued a notice to the drama serial Dil Na Umeed To Nahi for not being in accordance with its code of conduct.

 The drama ‘Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi’ addresses sensitive social issues including human trafficking, prostitution, and child abuse.

The regulatory authority in its notice has directed that the content material of the drama serial ‘Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi’ be made in accordance with the code of conduct.

The notice added that the PEMRA has asked the management of the private TV channel to provide details related to the editorial board within five days.

Written by Amna Mufti, the drama is directed by Kashif Nisar.

The drama is being aired on TV One since January 18, in collaboration with Kashf Foundation. 

The serial based on a reality exposes viewers to the most exotic, erotic, and darkest elements of our society.

The star cast of ‘Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi’ includes Yumna Zaidi, Yasra Rizvi, Samia Mumtaz, Noman Ijaz, Wahaj Ali, and Umair Rana.
