Barbie headed to become highest-grossing Warner Bros. movie ever

Barbie is headed to become the highest-grossing Warner Bros. movie ever in history!

Ryan Gosling’s film has broken several records making the current global sensation, that had previously been held by the likes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Aquaman, The Dark Knight Rises, and Joker.

Barbie has already surpassed Joker, to become the third-biggest WB title internationally.

As reported, Barbie will be Warner Bros.’s highest-grossing film across 36 markets around the globe.

Over the weekend, Margot Robbie-led Barbie earned $18.2 million from 12,852 screens in 75 international territories, to push its worldwide gross to a smashing $1.34 billion.

On the other hand, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” is heading towards achieving the $800 million mark at the worldwide box office after earning $29.1 million from 7,555 screens in 82 territories.

Previously Warner Bros. holds a history of achieving great success with superheroes, fantasy, and science fiction, but this is the first time that a toy has done remarkably well at the box office.

Warner Bros 2019’s releases Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and The Lego Movie franchise did not cross the $1 billion dollar line.
