Javed Afridi, Peshawar Zalmi owner, offers Hajj sponsorship to viral elderly pilgrim

A video clip of Pakistani shepherd Abdul Qadir Bakhsh went viral as he was caught on camera wandering around the Prophet's Mosque

Javed Afridi, Peshawar Zalmi owner, has offered Hajj sponsorship to an elderly Pakistani pilgrim who recently went viral on social media while wandering around the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah during the holy month of Ramadan.

Taking it to social media, Afridi sharing a news clip said, “Wonderful & will be glad if he accepts our offer to sponsor him for his Hajj Travels.”

Abdul Qadir Bakhsh, 82, hails from a small village in Balochistan’s Hub area and has just returned back to the country after offering Umrah.

His video had taken the internet by storm showing him wandering in the Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque in Madina surfaced.

Many compared his appearance to that of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Abdul Qadir Bakhsh doesn’t own a phone came to know about his viral video when the reporter approached him for an interview.

For those unserved, Hajj is obligatory upon those believers who can afford the expenses for the pilgrim.

Abdul Qadir Bakhsh who is a shepherd, has garnered a lot of attention from the viral video and even high-profile figures such as Advisor to the Saudi Crown Prince Turki Alalshikh, who also tweeted about finding him.
