Azam Chandio, DG Hajj, passed away in Arafaat in the state of Ihram, the news source reported on Wednesday.
As reported, Azam Chandio, the Assistant Private Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs suffered a cardiac arrest that proved to be fatal in Arafaat.
He was serving as the Director General of Hajj for Pakistan.
It should be noted that around 1.8 million pilgrims from around the world performed Waqoof e Arafaah yesterday, where the day temperature soared to 45 degrees Centigrade.
After performing the chief ritual of Hajj, millions of pilgrims reached Muzdalifah last night.
Pilgrims left for Mina from Muzdalifah after Fajr prayer today on 10th Zil-Hijj and now are performing Rami-Jamrat following the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim.
Around two million Hujjaj from 160 countries around the world performed Jamarat in Mina today where they used pebbles to stone a series of three pillars representing the devil.
