BTS creates history on Billboard 200, beats The Beatles record

BTS, the K-Pop sensation has managed to beat the record held by English band The Beatles by debuting three albums at Billboard #1 in the hot 200 lists in 10 months 3 weeks.

So far, it has been a busy year for BTS. The sensational boy band has released three albums in the span of almost 11 months.

Amazingly all of these 3 albums debuted at #1 in the Billboard 200. This has broken the record previously held by The Beatles.

BTS’ album when released on April 8, ‘Map of Soul: Persona’ debuted at #1 and the song ‘Boy with Luv’ is at #8 on the Billboard’s single hot 100 charts.

The album retained its #1 position the Billboard 200 according to the chart details till April 27th.
The song ‘Boy with Luv’ feat Halsey also broken records on YouTube, it has received more than 74 million views in the first 24 hours and still holds the overall biggest YouTube 24-hour views record.

BTS’s previous two albums, ‘Love Yourself: Tear’, ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ rose to new heights, and brought them their first Billboards Award nomination and win and ushered in more fans for the boy band.

The k-pop band also had an inherent message in their songs which struck a chord with many. The band’s first #1 at the Billboard 200 was ‘Love Yourself: Tear’. The album was included in the June 2, 2018, charts.

This album, which is primarily in the Korean language, also happens to be the first foreign language album to top the charts in 12 years.

The follow up to ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ was the song titled ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ which was released on August 24. Which also made to Billboard 200 list dated September 8, 2018.
