K-Pop sensations BTS’s World Mobile Game rockets to no.1 spot on app charts worldwide

K-Pop sensation BTS after conquering the charts with their music and the box office with the documentary “Burn the Stage: The Movie”, with their newly released Mobile Game are at the top of Apple’s App Store charts in multiple countries just hours after its release on Wednesday, June 26.

The free-to-play “BTS World” game was launched on iOS and Google Play yesterday has already ranked No. 1 for iPhone downloads in the U.S. overall and among games apps, being reported by research firm App Annie.
According to Sensor Tower App Intelligence data., “BTS World” hit the top of Apple’s App Store charts in 25 countries, including South Korea, Japan, and all Southeast Asian markets.
It is currently ranked among the top five apps in an additional 36 countries. In China, “BTS World” ranks No. 50 overall but is the country’s No. 8 iPhone game by downloads, per Sensor Tower.

BTS World is developed by Korean gaming company Netmarble in collaboration with the K-pop group,
The seven-member boy band, which has led a wave of Korean pop music around the world reportedly spent two years recording exclusive photos, videos, and music for the game.
Prior to the game’s worldwide release, Netmarble unveiled a more detailed overview of BTS WORLD’s many functions.
“Imagine a world, where you travel back in time to become the manager of the biggest boy band on the planet,” the game’s premise reads. “The future of BTS is in your hands.”
