Former NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq tests positive for COVID-19
Former National Assembly speaker and PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq has tested positive for COVID-19.
PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif, informed of Ayaz Sadiq testing positive through his official Twitter and prayed for his recovery.
“Senior PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has tested positive for Covid-19. A thorough gentleman & seasoned politician who conducted the business of the National Assembly impartially as a Speaker. I wish him a speedy recovery and good health”, says Shehbaz Sharif in his tweet.

Meanwhile, various members of Parliament are suffering from the pandemic. On Wednesday Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had also tested positive for the highly contagious disease.
PML-N Member National Assembly Ahsan Iqbal, PTI MNAs Dr. Ramesh Kumar and Farukh Habib, JUI-F MNA Shahida Akhtar Ali, MQM MNA Usama Qadri, and Senator Sana Jamali earlier contracted coronavirus and all of them isolated themselves at home.
Pakistan has confirmed 107 deaths – highest till date – by coronavirus during the last 24 hours. The number of positive cases has jumped to 125,933, whereas nationwide tally of deaths has surged to 2,463.
